Program Notes

Kevin Poelking is a contemporary composer born in 1988 in Illinois. He began his professional career as a high school band an orchestra conductor in Maryland, and later became a high school band and orchestra teacher. He began his advanced training in composition at Colorado’s state univrersity in 2017.

His success has been meteoric with awards in new composition coming in the early 2000s.
